Legal CV
Applications · pupillage · in-house

One master CV. Every format.

An employer doesn't read your CV — it reads its own form. Build a master CV once, then render it into chambers, in-house, public sector, international and court formats. No fabrication: order, emphasis and length may change; facts may not.

Five formats

The section order each one expects.

Chambers · Pupillage / tenancy

Name → education → prizes & mooting → advocacy experience → publications → referees. Advocacy and academic record lead.

In-house · Legal counsel

Profile → commercial experience → matters by value → regulation & compliance → secondments → languages. Commercial impact leads.

Public sector · Government / regulator

Name → education → posts held (with dates) → responsibilities → committees → publications → references. Civil-service chronology with a statement of suitability.

International · Cross-border / NGO

Position → personal details → education (original titles) → languages → experience (general then specific) → professional history → declaration. Map each requirement to a dated matter.

Court · Judicial / court form

Application form fields → education → posts → judicial experience → continuing education → referees → certification. The court's supplied form always governs.

The fact rule

No invention, ever.

Every render ends with a verification block: fields not provided, criteria the candidate does not evidence, and a reminder that the supplied form governs. Dates are month + year, exactly as in the master.

VERIFICATION BLOCK
- Not provided: [fields]
- Criteria not evidenced: [criteria]
- Dates not found in master: [none]
- File type / page limit / signature: [employer rules]
How it works

Twenty minutes, start to signed.

01

Fill the master once

Every matter, education entry and language level in one schema. Rendered CVs are views of it.

02

Pick the format

Choose chambers, in-house, public sector, international or court. The editor re-orders the sections and shows which fields are missing.

03

Check, then submit

Read the verification block, transfer into the supplied form, sign and return the required file type.

Questions

Before you apply.

Is this the same as the résumé builder?

They work together. The CV editor is where you draft and export; this pack adds the five formats, the calculators and the converter skill.

Will it invent experience to fit a criterion?

No. It says the candidate does not evidence a criterion rather than inventing one, and lists it in the verification block.

Which file types does it produce?

Editable .docx and .xlsx worksheets you transfer into the prescribed form. The employer's file type and page limit always win.
